Client: Boardwalk Management Sovereign Harbour
Speak to the N&J team
The Boardwalk development (Circa 2006) is located on a small peninsula between an inner and outer harbour. The scheme is split into six new residential blocks, varying in height from six to eight storeys and provides 260 units in total. The buildings give the appearance of elegant ‘ocean liners’ floating on the surrounding water, looking out to sea and the inner harbour. Central to this concept is a pedestrian steel and timber boardwalk running through the centre of the site, providing access to the buildings at ground floor level above a 518-space car park.
The project was established following the implementation of legislation in relation to combustible cladding panels.
The design brief included the entire removal of the existing cladding systems and full replacement utilising compatible and compliant systems.
N&J (approved Installer) were approached by the design consultants in relation to defective cladding and following a competitive tender process were successful in securing the main contract to deliver the works.
"The quality of work which has been achieved is outstanding and beyond reproach. Additionally, the project has been delivered within the agreed timeframes and budget. Where there have been minor snagging issues, N&J have reacted quickly and professionally in resolving them.
The most important point of feedback I can give is, despite the major works to the development running for a number of years, our client wishes to instruct N&J to undertake further major projects to their buildings. The management team at N&J have been a pleasure to deal with throughout.
I would not hesitate to recommend N&J to undertake works for our other clients."
